Try Our Wines
As well as growing a range of organic produce, Zuvela’s range of Hora wines is a byword for authenticy and quality. Croatia has more than 130 indigenous grape varieties, and some of these are indigenous to Hvar and only grown on the island. Continuing centuries of wine-growing tradition, the Hora range includes:
• Cuvée White
• Rose from Plavac mali
• Plavac mali barrique
We would be delighted to arrange a tasting of our wines, either individually or in a group tour.
We are open daily from 12:00 – 20:00 from May 1 to October 1, or by appointment.
Bogdanusa and Prc (pronounced ‘perch’) are two white wines which are only grown on the island of Hvar. Bogdanusa is an early-drinking white, which translates as ‘a gift from God’. Posip is another white wine variety indigenous to Dalmatia, and we were delighted to be awarded the Gold Medal for Best White Table Wine for our Posip 2013 at the prestigious Sabatini 2013 awards last year. Plavac Mali is Dalmatia’s best red wine variety, and Hvar is one of the premier locations for its production. A relative of the better-known Zinfandel and Primitivo, the high concentration of taste and alcohol make it one of the most powerful wines on the world stage.
